The Transient Forest
Adrienne Herron's photographs of trees capture fleeting moments when light and colour unite in transcendent beauty.

This series, titled The Transient Forest, is inspired by the diminishing and threatened stands of trees and forests near her home in Chelsea, Quebec where she has lived for almost two decades. This body of work is the culmination of years of photographing this landscape with the intent to express its fragile, delicate and threatened nature.

The Transient Forest possesses both minimalist and abstract effects in which light and subdued colours become the only subjects used to convey a sense of imperiled purity.

Adrienne accomplishes the impressionistic effect that carries her message by using camera movement at the instant the shutter is released.
